REBORN IN SWITZERLAND THE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA- THE JESUS CHRIST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

REBORN IN SWITZERLAND THE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA  meeting with Patriarch Elijah from Jerusalem (Prof. Giuseppe Savazzi) and the Rotaract in Lausanne-District 1990

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ORCHESTRA

I first thought of the Orchestra in 1987, during a trip to the USA.
While staying in Chicago, to receive the first prize of the Rotary International Foundation for the creation of the "Rotary Youth International Orchestra", I thought up a new kind of Orchestra able to perform four functions:
  1. Spread a message of brotherhood and friendship by means of the universal language of music
  2. Awake the love for music and culture in today’s youth
  3. Offer an opportunity of professional fulfillment to young musicians, nevertheless hosting performances of reknown musicians
  4. Perform humanitarian actions in the public interest
  5. Mission and international action - The Rotary International Orchestra. ( Reborn in The Jesus Christ Symphony Orchestra)
This program is active part of the Ambassadorial and Missionaries service in the world in the projects of The Rotary International Foundation,WCS (World Community Service of RI.)

During the past 21 years the Jesus Christ Symphony Orchestra had the pleasure to have musicians from 142 different countries. Among all the performances of the Orchestra I have very fond memories of the ones in India (“World Music Festival”, 1995) and Assisi (" Special concert for world peace and the harmony of the Universe ", 1998).

Orchestra - teaches us how to find harmony with each other despite our differences
We are all individual beings, each with our own life. But we are not alone; we are part of a whole, and the issue we face is how to reconcile the demands of our individual life with those of collective life.
Each individual is special. Divine Intelligence created such a diversity of creatures, and we must not try to put them all on one level and make them all the same. Everyone has the right to express their differences, their originality, provided they are in tune with the whole, as in an orchestra. What a difference there is in shape, material and sound between the violin, cello, piano, oboe, flute, harp, trumpet, cymbals and bass drum! But out of this diversity is born a perfect harmony in Jesus Christ.
